  37.     GhostRider (GR) is a new program for debugging and viewing/changing
  38.     memory contents in hex, ascii and (dis)assembly form, independant of
  39.     system resources, which "normal" debuggers rely on. This is in general
  40.     known as a (hardware) monitor. GR features most "standard" functions,
  41.     but also many things not normally found in this type of software.

  54.     GhostRider (GR) is a new hardware monitor written in pure assembler. The
  55.     most important difference between GR and other monitors of this kind is
  56.     that GR is build up from scratch - not a (simple) modification of some
  57.     old CON-based monitor. Before starting this project I tried to figure
  58.     out what single feature of a monitor is more important. Since a monitor
  59.     is to be used by many different people, I decided that the most
  60.     important feature would be the ability of configuration according to the
  61.     user's needs. Therefore GR comes with a preference editor which will
  62.     allow you, the user, to configure the "feel" of GR... See below for a
  63.     list of some of the features in GhostRider:

  65.     - Works on all (well, most :) Amigas; AGA, ECS, NTSC, PAL,
  66.       MC68000-MC68040/MMU/FPU.
  67.     - Does _NOT_ rely on the system to be around.
  68.     - Fast screen handling.
  69.     - Powerfull input parser, support use of symbols.
  70.     - Copper-list locater.
  71.     - System, NMI, reset (also GURU) & BreakPoint entry modes.
  72.     - Text snapping/pasting with the mouse.
  73.     - Full dis/assembler support for the M68k family (well, not the 'o6o).
  74.     - "Standard" block dump as well as editor environments for
  75.       disassembling, HEX-viewing, ASCII-viewing and Memory-Peeking (bitmap).
  76.     - Memory hunt featuring; long strings, jokers (wildcards), NOT-data,
  77.       case(in)-sensitive text hunt, branch hunt and PC-relative hunt.
  78.     - Memory fill featuring; long strings and jokers.
  79.     - Breakpoint support.
  80.     - Full control of CustomRegister contents at exit.
  81.     - Results from hunt/compare operations are kept in a buffer for fast and
